The Child Safety Department calls on families to enjoy a safe Eid while prioritising children’s safety.

On the occasion of Eid al-Adha, the Child Safety Department invites families and parents to ensure children’s safety during gatherings, outdoor spaces, resorts, and beaches. Adhering to general safety standards, particularly regarding children’s well-being, enhances the joy of Eid. It emphasises the significance of diligently overseeing children in swimming pools, attending to their needs, and providing age-appropriate recreational activities. Avoiding leaving children unsupervised is strongly emphasised.

While acknowledging the festive atmosphere that encourages children’s freedom to play and create cherished memories, the department highlights the potential physical, mental, and psychological risks that may compromise their safety.

To assist parents indoors and outdoors during vacation time, the department offers essential guidelines. It underscores the need for age-appropriate and suitable toys, selecting supervised swimming areas with trained lifeguards, and scheduling beach visits outside of midday hours to protect against sunburn, dehydration, and fatigue. Additionally, ensuring the availability of secure areas specifically designed for children is crucial when staying at hotels or resorts.

The Child Safety Department wishes everyone a joyful and blessed Eid holiday.
