About
The Child Safety Department was launched in 2011 as “The Child Safety Campaign” as one of the initiatives of the Supreme Council for Family Affairs and continued as a campaign until HH Sheikha Jawaher bint Mohammad Al Qasimi issued in October 2018 an administrative decision to established the Child Safety Department to complement the mission and the goals of the campaign, to spread awareness about the importance of child safety and protection and to work towards creating social stability for children and builda society where they enjoy both mental and physical health.
The Child Safety Department is keen to address several child safety issues throughout the year, via producing and releasing videos, awareness messages and spreading them via social media and launching humanitarian initiatives, in addition to producing research and studies, and entering into national and international
Mission
Create awareness among all spectrums of society on the importance of child prevention and protection from negligence, abuse and exploitation, within the established religious and legal frameworks, in order to preserve children’s rights and to Raising them in a way that allows them to develop as “normal children , and live physically and psychologically safe under the umbrella of a cohesive family. This can be achieved through our active participation in developing relevant national policies and through designing and executing initiatives and activities in collaboration with strategic partners and specialized entities.
